THE STORY Late in the day after the sun had dropped below the nearby hills (which were behind me), only the open sky illuminated this rock bank on the other side of the wash. The one rock reflected the sky more making it brighter than the others. The rhythmic craving of the water over time appeared to me like frozen waves in the opposite direction of the flowing water in the bottom of the composition.
